The Year Round Apartments contract runs from August 7, 2009 through May 31, 2010. The Year Round Apartments are located on center part of the 3rd - 9th floors in rooms ending in 23-45, as well as all studios on the 3rd through 9th floors.
The Academic Year Apartments contract runs from August 22, 2009 through May 26, 2010. The Academic Year Apartments are located on the 10th - 15th floors and on the wings of the building on floors 1st - 9th in rooms ending in 01-14, and 52 - 64, but studios on these floors are not included.
To make your move-in as smooth as possible and to coordinate the move-in of all Apartment residents, we require all Apartment residents to make an appointment using the ONLINE SCHEDULER. We cannot guarantee a timely check-in if you do not have a scheduled appointment. Please be sure to select your correct building and contract period.Appointments will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents who schedule multiple appointments will have all appointments cancelled. If you do not have access to the internet, please call (408) 795-5621 for assistance. Year Round residents (August 7 – May 31) may make an appointment to check in on:
Friday August 7th 10am – 6pm or Saturday, August 8th 10am – 6pm
Academic Year residents (August 21 – May 26) may make an appointment to check in on:
Friday August 21st 10am – 6pm or Saturday, August 22nd 10am – 6pm
Check-in will take place on the first floor of the Apartments (Campus Village, Building B). Please remember to bring your SJSU Tower Card and/or picture ID. You will be given an access card, a bedroom key and other important information. Once your check-in is complete, you will be free to move into your room at your leisure. All check-ins must be completed by Sunday, August 23rd at 10:00pm. During check-in, you will be able to park in specially designated unloading areas around the buildings with a UHS permit with a 1 hour time limit. Once you have unloaded your vehicle it must be moved to the South (7th St.) Garage. Permits will be available from UHS staff on the day of your move-in. The permit allows you a maximum of 1 hour to unload your vehicle. Please be aware that you risk being ticketed if you park outside of the specially designated unloading areas, without the UHS Permit, or for longer than 1 hour.
If you have applied for a Campus Village parking permit, please be advised that there is currently a waiting list. Until further notice, there are no parking permits available for the Campus Village parking garage.
Residents who have purchased an SJSU Parking Permit through SJSU Parking Services will have their permits mailed to them (if you purchased the permits far enough in advance) or permits may be picked up at the Parking Services office in the 7th Street Garage. Any questions regarding the SJSU Parking Permits can be directed to Parking Services at (408) 924-6556.

Studios include many of the same furniture noted above except there is no sofa, dishwasher, or oven and are equipped with a mini-fridge instead of a full-sized refrigerator.
The following are some of the things you may consider bringing with you. You should contact your roommates to coordinate your packing since you may not need duplicates of some items.

Local telephone service, basic cable TV, and Internet connection are included in your rent. For your telephone and Internet services, you will need Cat3 and Cat5 patchcords to connect your phone and computer to the Gateway. To connect your TV to the cable services, you will need a Cat 5 patchcord.
